Nathan has started talking about what he wants to be when he's a grown up. At first he wanted to have his own construction site. But now he says he wants to be a fireman. This Wednesday, we're going to (hopefully) two storytimes that deal with firemen...one at a fire station and one at the Swanson library with a visiting firefighter. Should be fun for Nathan!
We visited Aunt Norma today, and Shelli and her boyfriend, Justin. Nathan had a good time and enjoyed meeting Norma. He couldn't understand why she wasn't responding to Grandpa asking her if she wanted to come eat now (she was talking to someone else and was focused on that), so he told her (loudly) that Papa was talking to her!
A week from today we are going on our first real train ride! Boone, IA offers rides...the one we'll go on is 2 hours 45 minutes, and we'll get to eat a snack and dessert while we ride the train. Really looking forward to it!
I've also been talking to Nathan a little bit about the vacation we're going to be going on (Disney World for my birthday!!) and he asks once in awhile if we're "going on vacation today." It's a ways away yet, and he doesn't yet know we're going to Disney World, but I'm glad he's excited about this thing called "vacation." Can't wait. :)
